Day at Isha foundation, Adiyogi- Coimbatore

Did you know that " 112 feet Adiyogi Shiva statue " is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the "Largest Bust Sculpture” in the world? This Adiyogi Shiva statue is at Isha Yoga centre near Coimbatore in Indian state of Tamilnadu. So this time I decided to travel to Coimbatore for Isha Ashram. As sometimes it is good to explore your spiritual side as well. Before I start anything, first interesting thing which you should know is how people greet there , as this will be useful when you have to communicate with them for anything either on a phone call or through email or in person. So here, people greet by saying  Namaskaram and join hands ๐Ÿ™ everytime they see each other.  And they address each other by saying Akka and Anna .  This I mentioned as most of the north Indians don't know the meaning of these words. Ooty: Queen of the hills

A hill station of South India This blog is about the most famous hill station in South India which is Ooty in Tamilnadu. It is known as Queen of the Hills and o ne of the most favourite summer destinations in South India. I heard that Ooty is famous for honeymooners & couples๐Ÿ’‘, Well I noticed the same when I went solo on this trip ๐Ÿ˜. But Ooty made me surprised with its beauty, it looks so beautiful in Monsoon.  To enjoy Ooty and nearby places usually takes around 4-5 days. However I had planned a short trip of 2 days in June end and the weather was awesome, most of the time it was drizzling there.  Ooty offers many tourist attractions and all are so well maintained, I really liked the beauty of Nilgiri hills in Ooty, and Monsoon has given its extra touch increasing its beauty. I will say picture-perfect frame you will get everywhere in Ooty. When you plan to visit Ooty, it becomes necessary to visit other nearby places also, like Coonoor, Pykara, ...

1 Day Trip from Chennai - Chidambaram & Pichavaram

Chidambaram & Pichavaram, a perfect destination for 1-day outing from Chennai. Chidambaram,  It is some 215 km from Chennai.  Chidamabarm has ancient 10th century World famous temple " Nataraja Temple "  (Dancing form of Shiva) . It was build in 10th century when Chidambaram was the capital of Chola dynasty. Temple opening timing :  6:00 AM- 12:00 AM, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM So, to reach Chidambaram, you can start early morning around 5 AM from Chennai. Many government and Private buses available which goes to Chidambaram.  To and fro journey by Bus can be pre-booked also. Pichavaram  It is a small village is approx 15 km from Chidambarm.  It has 2nd largest Mangrove forest in the world.  mangroves that are permanently rooted in a few feet of water.  Boating in Mangrove forest is awesome experience.
